If you’re wondering, how can I ensure my child has a great summer? OCSB Summer Camps are just the thing! Our camps are a combination of fun and games with a focus on your child’s educational development. Whether your child wants to explore physical activity, STEM, dance, the outdoors or Junglesport, we have a camp for them. Experienced, quality service providers offer our Summer Camps.

Our camps offered by Camps Canada are a one-stop-shop for awesome camp options: Arts and Crafts, Ball Hockey, Multisport. Campers enjoy their camp of choice each morning (chosen weekly) and some off-site outings each week. Extended camp hours, enthusiastic bilingual certified teachers and amazing programming make this a great summer camp. Its mission is to create a special place for every camper to make lasting memories and to experience success, regardless of their abilities.

Rautins-House Basketball School: 7-16 years Co-Ed Basketball Camp – Boys and Girls

The focus will be on individual skill and fundamental development, instruction is provided by top local and out-of-town coaches and players. Each registrant will receive a Rautins-House t-shirt. Participants must bring their own lunch/snacks, and basketball to camp each day.

Canada Topflight Academy (CTA): 10-17 years Basketball Skills Camp
Co-Ed camp will look at all facets of the game focusing on footwork, shooting, dribbling, and other individual, small-group concepts. Conducted by Founder Tony House and featuring the staff and players of Canada’s Premier Prep School, as well as other notable basketball instructors and trainers. Each camper will receive a CTA Skills Camp t-shirt. Participants need to bring their own lunch/snacks, and basketball to camp each day.

Johnny Berhanemeskel Basketball Camp: 9-16 years (placed in age appropriate groups)

Co-Ed Basketball Camp

Johnny Berhanemeskel • Canadian professional basketball player for BC Budivelnyk of the European North Basketball League and the Champions League. Johnny Berhanemeskel plays at the shooting guard position, and has previously played in Estonia, Spain, Germany and Greece. He played college basketball at the University of Ottawa.

The sky’s the limit for fun in this coed camp! Experienced P. E. Teachers and University students will provide quality instruction, in an encouraging and fun environment. Curriculum designed to instill confidence while participating in most major sports, as well as cooperative activities and non-traditional games. Cost includes First Star t-shirt, and Friday Pizza Day. Our goal is to facilitate the development of individual strengths and skills in a relaxed and caring manner.

First Star Plus: 6-13 years

First Star Plus offers a chance to explore a wide-range of interests and cooperative games, with less of an emphasis on traditional sports. Activities such as yoga, dance and a variety of arts and crafts help to foster creativity and develop life-long learning skills. Game On Sports Camp: 7-13 years The Goal of GAME ON is for campers to actively participate in a variety of sports with the FOCUS on fun! The sports include: basketball, volleyball, soccer, ultimate, disc golf, badminton, tchoukball, floorball, target games and others. Junglesport Climbing & Adventure Camp: 7-12 years

Luv2Groove™ is a unique dance camp blending dance, outdoor fun and one-of-a-kind crafts. Aspiring Artists – Develop your skills and try something new! 7-12 years

Do you have a budding artist at home? Join us for a week filled with hands-on art and craft activities led by a qualified instructor dedicated to ensuring a fun, safe, and creative environment. Participants will explore various techniques in drawing, painting, and sculpture, delving into the fundamentals of composition and personal expression. This week-long art camp aims to introduce students to diverse art forms, such as acrylic pouring, mixed media, and upcycling. All necessary materials are provided, and each camper will design their own t-shirt. On Friday, enjoy a pizza lunch together. Additionally, we’ll take a break for fresh air and physical activity with one hour of daily outdoor activities, games, and play.

National Pickleball Camp: 6-12 years, Kanata (All Saints HS)

Experience the fast-growing sport of Pickleball. This camp enhances children’s balance and agility in a low-impact environment.

Campers spend 3-4 daily learning Pickleball, culminating in a mini-tournament. They also play ping-pong, volleyball, and badminton to improve hand-eye coordination, grouped by age and ability.

Mountain Bike Kid: 8-14 years, Camp Fortune Ski Hill – Transportation available

Enroll your child in our Mountain Biking Program at Camp Fortune, offering convenient transportation. Activities include trail rides, guided hikes, wildlife observations, mountain biking, off-road biking, navigation, equipment maintenance, trail conservation, Aerial Park access, and Race Days.

New shuttle buses servicing Kanata/Nepean and Orleans/Ottawa areas.

Mountain Bike Kid: 8-14 years, Kanata Lake (All Saints HS)

Join our esteemed children’s mountain biking program at Kanata Lakes to explore scenic trails, observe wildlife, and enjoy invigorating hikes. Campers will improve bike handling, trail etiquette, and maintenance skills, while learning eco-friendly trail construction and upkeep. On-site bike storage. Children of all skill levels are welcome.

Decathlon Sports Camp: 6-13 years, Kanata (All Saints HS) & Barrhaven (St. Mother Teresa HS)

The Decathlon Sports Camp features diverse activities like flag rugby, cricket, soccer, ultimate frisbee, archery tag, flag football and so much more. It aims to instill values such as a positive attitude, sportsmanship, and respect, creating an Olympic-like environment on a smaller scale.

Wilderness Adventure Camp: Ages 9-15, Camp Fortune Ski Hill (Transportation Available)

Our 5-day camp covers survival skills, shelter building, fire making, first aid, navigation, fishing, and more. Water fun at Meech Lake & Lac Philippe. Enjoy archery, fly-tying, orienteering, aerial parks, and wildlife education. New bus routes for Kanata/Nepean and Orleans/Ottawa ensure easy transport.

Amazing Race Summer Camp: 8-14 years, Camp Fortune Ski Hill

Children will tackle various challenges over 5 days in 5 countries, each offering a unique adventure. Arts and Crafts 

Arts and crafts in the morning and swimming/off-site activities in the afternoon. This camp is all about fun with basic arts and crafts. Our experienced art teachers provide a variety of creative activities using assorted materials such as pastels, coloured pencils, watercolour paints, foam sheets, googly eyes, beads, fabric paint, and more! Our awesome teachers provide lots of encouragement, guidance and inspiration. At the end of the week, you will have a portfolio of wonderful projects to take home.

Bike Safety Camp

Bike Safety skills and games in the morning and swimming/off-site activities in the afternoon. This camp develops basic riding skills such as steering abilities, braking and a general introduction to the rules of the road. Bikes with training wheels are welcome but we cannot guarantee that campers will be ready to remove them after one week of camp. On the first day of camp, we will divide the campers into beginners, intermediate and advanced and they will be given instruction accordingly.

Multisport Camp

Sports activities in the morning and swimming/off-site activities in the afternoon. Action-packed and filled with variety, this camp is like a fun phys-ed class. We play a wide variety of sports including archery, basketball, baseball, ball hockey, soccer, bocce ball, dodgeball, large-group games, touch football, ultimate frisbee, and soccer-baseball. Our goal for this camp is to nurture an appreciation of sport and provide an environment where all children achieve success regardless of their athletic ability. 

Swim Lesson Camp

Swim lessons and Multisport Camp in the morning and swimming/off-site activities in the afternoon. The lessons provided in this camp are the same as you would receive with the City of Ottawa’s Sea Creatures and Sea Colours program. Lessons are provided during camp hours by experienced, qualified City of Ottawa Lifeguards/Instructors. Campers will have a 45-minute swimming lesson each morning for two weeks.
