March Break Camps 2020


GAME ON! Sports Camp (Ages 7-13 years) 
A variety of sports will be covered during the week: basketball, volleyball, Ultimate, badminton, tchoukball, floorball, curling/target games, and others. Adult instruction (1:10 ratio). Professional sport-specific instruction to develop and improve Fundamental Movement Skills by experienced physical education teachers. Includes a tournament day, Friday Pizza Day, prizes and awards. Goal of GAME ON! is to participate in a variety of sport with the FOCUS on fun!

Canada Topflight Academy (CTA) Skills Basketball Camp
(Ages 10-17 years)

Co-Ed camp open to participants who want to improve on their fundamentals and learn from the premier prep program in Canada. Camp will look at all facets of the game focusing on footwork, shooting, dribbling, 1 on 1, 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 concepts. Conducted by the staff and players of CTA featuring: Founder/Head Coach Tony House, Aaron Blakely, as well as other notable basketball instructors and trainers. Each camper will receive a CTA Skills Camp T-shirt. Participants bring their own lunch to camp.

National Tennis Camp (Ages 6-14 years)
This energetic week will consist of 3-5 hours of tennis per day. Campers will learn tennis fundamentals in age appropriate groups and compete in a tennis tournament. Tennis Canada Certified instructors will teach absolute beginners to advanced level players – there's a court for everyone! Other activities include: Archery Tag (played twice), fun Olympics, road hockey, and swimming. Theme days could include activities like: air bands, crazy clothing/hair day, music day and much more. Campers provide their own lunch and snacks.

Radical Science Camp  (Ages 6-10 years) 

Come explore the joys (and surprises) of science with Radical Science by Little Rays across five themed days of wacky chemistry, physics and biology. With crazy experiments, live animals, interactive games, special guests and take-home science projects our experienced presenters are sure to ignite the passion in your junior scientists.We encourage campers to create their own experiments, play with polymers and get their hands dirty in a fun and entertaining environment that combines gases with giggles, lasers with laughter and chemical reactions with creativity. Perfect for those with a natural curiosity in the world around them.

Spartoon Action Camp
(Ages 6-12 years) 
Science, sports, cartooning and fitness all wrapped up into one great camp! Campers will have fun practicing and playing a new sport every day. Get fit through fun and engaging games in the gym. Science will be explored through hands on activities such as flight, roller coasters and custom 3D printing! Learn to draw cartoons and make a personalized, digitally sublimated performance t-shirt. All instruction offered by qualified educators. The week winds up with a Fantastic Friday, which includes activities such as our human hamster balls, rock climbing, body zorbs, Laser Tag, Archery Tag, Bazooka Ball and a pizza lunch! Cost includes custom T-shirt, art kit, special Friday activities and pizza lunch. Campers provide their own lunch and snacks or can sign up for our meal program. 
Note: Meal program available from Monday to Thursday on-site at an additional cost of $10 per day – payable to the camp counselors at the school NOT at the time of registration. Includes lunch, juice and snacks. Snacks are nut free. Inquiries about the meal plan must be made to the camp counselors at the school.

Super Skills Development Basketball Clinic - March 16-18 (Boys & Girls Grades 4 to 6)
This 3 day basketball clinic is designed for players from grades 4 to 6 who are eager to learn, improve and take CHARDG of their development regardless of their current level. Special emphasis will be placed on mastering the fundamentals and improving every athlete’s general physical literacy. Under the direction and care of experienced coaches, players will be taken through a mix of structured drills and decision making game situations in an effort to teach them how to integrate training into their gameplay. Each day will also feature 1on1, 3 on 3 and some 4on4 gameplay. ​All players will receive a proprietary player passport and player notebook. Prizes will be awarded to select players chosen by the coaching staff.
Players are responsible for bringing a ball and providing their own lunch and snacks.

True Competitor Basketball Clinic
 - March 16-18 (Boys & Girls Grades 7 to 9)

A ‘True Competitor’ is someone that understands the difference between playing hard and playing to win. They are accountable for their actions but quick to turn the spotlight to their teammates. They do not hide from or avoid adversity, but rather relish it. They find solutions, not problems. A True Competitor is authentic and passionate about getting better as a player, and person, every day. They take CHARDG of their game. This intensive 3-day basketball clinic is for current or aspiring competitive players from grades 7 to 9. Special focus will be on making decisions at game speed in 1on1, 3on3 and 5on5 settings. The clinic will be a mix of individual skill development and applying those skills in live situations. Players will be equipped to become leaders and ultimate teammates on the floor.This clinic will propel players to have a strong finish to their season. All players will receive a proprietary player postcard evaluation and player notebook.

My child has medical concerns. How do I inform the camp counsellors?
If your child has any medical conditons or severe allergies, download and complete the Medical Release form, and bring it to camp on the first day.
Can I cancel my registration?
You may cancel a camp registration on or before March 2, 2020 and obtain a refund minus a $15 administration fee. AFTER March 2, 2019 REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED.
